This is my recording of a resident participation meeting for a proposed development at 1208 South University Avenue in Ann Arbor. The meeting was held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 6pm at the downtown branch of the Ann Arbor District Library, and led by representatives from Myefski Architects, Landmark Properties, and the Bonner Advisory Group.
The proposed project involves demolishing the existing Galleria Mall to construct a 17-story mixed-use building with 211 rental apartments. Current occupants of the Galleria building include Pinball Pete’s arcade, Pancheros Mexican Grill, and the US Post Office.

The proposed development consists of a 17-story mixed use residential and retail tower with 211 rental apartment units and 2,000 sf of ground-level commercial tenant space.
The ground floor incorporates a residential lobby and leasing area, retail space, bike storage, and garage parking. Residential units begin on the 2nd floor and extend up to the 17th floor where interior and exterior amenity spaces are offered.
The existing one-story structure on the property will be demolished. The sidewalk will be extended and streetscape will be added along University Avenue in compliance with City ordinances.
