350 S Fifth Ave Resident Participation Meeting: June 5, 2025

Jun 4, 2025 | Public Meetings

This is my recording of a resident participation meeting for a proposed development at 350 S Fifth Avenue in Ann Arbor (aka: “The Y Lot”). The meeting was held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 6pm over Zoom by the Ann Arbor Housing Commission and Related Midwest.

From the meeting notice

The Ann Arbor Housing Commission and Related Midwest is proposing a new twenty story multi family development on the existing parking lot at E William Street between Fourth and Fifth Avenues. The property will provide 330 units containing a mix of one and two bedrooms with 100% of the units reserved as affordable for individuals and families with an average income between 30% to 80% of the Area Median Income. This mixed-use development will also have roughly 6,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. The downtown location and proximity to the Blake Transit Center and William Street Bikeway provide unique opportunities to utilize the existing alternative transportation network. It is anticipated the project will be presented for site plan approval by Planning Commission in the Fall of 2025.
