APPROVED: Annexation of 444 Huntington Place from Ann Arbor Township with R1B zoning. The parcel is 0.61 acres, with an existing single-family home. (Legistar)

APPROVED: Annexation of 110 Algebe Way from Ann Arbor Township with R1B zoning. The parcel is 0.05 acres, and is currently vacant. (Legistar)

  • According to the staff report (link) this parcel became orphaned when US-23 was built. The property owner intends to combine this parcel with an adjacent 36 acre site for a proposed “South Pond Village” development.
  • City Council approved the annexation on June 18, 2024, and adopted the R1B zoning at second reading on October 21, 2024. https://a2council.com/ann-arbor-city-council-october-21-2024/

APPROVED: Annexation of 3474 E Huron River Drive from Ann Arbor Township with R1D zoning. The 1.66 acre parcel is currently vacant. (Legistar)

  • According to the staff report (link), the petitioner originally requested R1A zoning, and “intends to construct a single-family home on the lot.” The zoning request was amended by the Planning Commission to R1D. The petitioner was present at the meeting, and agreed to the change in zoning.
  • City Council approved the annexation on June 18, 2024, and adopted the R1D zoning at second reading on November 7, 2024. https://a2council.com/ann-arbor-city-council-november-7-2024/

APPROVED: Site plan for 142 E Hoover Ave to build a 5719 square foot auto repair facility. Three existing parcels (142, 144, 146 E Hoover Ave) will be combined into a 25,613 square foot site. (Legistar)

  • According to the staff report (link) the three sites currently contain a Napa Autocare Center (142 E Hoover Ave) and two one-unit residential buildings (144 and 146 E Hoover Ave). All three sites are currently zoned C2B (Business Service).
