APPROVED: Site plan for 1208 South University Ave to build a 17 story apartment building with 186 units and 4600 square feet of retail space, replacing the existing Galleria Mall. The building will have 77 parking spaces, split between the ground level and second floor. The site is currently zoned D1. (Legistar)
- As noted in the minutes, “Chair Lee recused himself from the meeting noting his company’s involvement in the project.” According to LinkedIn, Wonwoo Lee is the Chief Real Estate Officer for Oxford Companies. At the July 18, 2023 meeting, Wonwoo Lee was elected Chair of the Planning Commission.

- Current occupants of the Galleria building include Pinball Pete’s arcade, Pancheros Mexican Grill, and the US Post Office. In April 2024, the owner of Pinball Pete’s announced plans to move to a new location on 500 E Liberty Street.
